Frog Hollow is Hartford’s most New York style urban neighborhood. The neighborhood was originally developed as three- and six-family buildings to house the immigrant population who worked in the factories which lined Capitol Avenue. Today, this historic architecture creates a neighborhood with a row house walk up feel, including the historic row houses on Columbia Street and Park Terrace.
Recent investments in the neighborhood has created greater homeownership opportunities and has attracted young professionals to the neighborhood. The neighborhood’s location, adjacent to the State Capitol, state offices, and courts is its greatest asset providing a short walk to work for state employees. Aetna, The Hartford, and the Hartford Courant are also in walking distance.

The neighborhood also includes Park Street, Connecticut’s premier Latino Main Street, Pope Park (an Olmsted designed park), and a small commercial district along Capitol Avenue. Park Place Towers provide renters with a beautiful campus like feel and great amenities.
